I have often been called a very happy person....
for example:
Uncle Bob twice says:
i think your face must be stuck that way
Uncle Bob twice says:
no one can smile that much
Uncle Bob twice says:
you must have great facial muscles
For this reason, I find living in this country hilarious due to British obsession with equality among mannerisms and behaviors...ie continual attempts to break kc's spirit. this is performed through constant mick taking and most often patronizing looks (you know who you are)
Surprisingly my personality is much the same nearly four months later and I still absolutely love it here. perhaps it's this American resolution amidst the oppression of those Brits trying to squelch our independence or simply my resilience is an attempt to keep that idealisic spirit alive in all of us.... (Ann of Green Gables style)
Or maybe the real reason is quite possibly the most obvious... no one actually knows what I'm thinking, which might in fact be quite despairing :)
either way I will continue to live and thrive in the UK, daring all you Brits to go ahead and BRING IT ON!!
More favorites;
persistence
effort
failure
dysfunction

Do continue to smile all the while, and though those brits will pull you down do not let it cause a frown, for soon your frown be all around, despair would become the town. So smile on american friend, though you may pretend, and send them brits your smile and mend, the british scowl so firm and foul.
But, A word of warning just a bit, for though you smile at the brit, I think it wont stop his sarcastic wit. So maybe his frown is of the clown, equally for those all around, and brit and american become one, polarized expressionless fun glum.
Persistance though may pay dividends, a little effort we comprehend, may not all be such despair, dysfunction all for us to share. With teamwork we can all admit, best is losing our sarcastic wit.
Rule, Britannia
When Britain first, at heaven's command,
Arose from out the azure main,
Arose, arose, arose from out the azure main,
This was the charter, the charter of the land,
And guardian Angels sung this strain:
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
The nations, not so blest as thee,
Must in their turn, to tyrants fall,
Must in their turn, must in their turn, to tyrants fall,
While thou shalt flourish, shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and envy of them all.
(Chorus)
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
Still more majestic shalt thou rise,
More dreadful, from each foreign stroke,
More dreadful, more dreadful from each foreign stroke
As the loud blast that tears the skies,
Serves but to root thy native oak.
(Chorus)
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
Thee haughty tyrants ne'er shall tame;
All their attempts to bend thee down,
All their attempts, all their attempts to bend thee down,
Will but arouse thy generous flame,
But work their woe and thy renown.
(Chorus)
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
To thee belongs the rural reign,
Thy cities shall with commerce shine
Thy cities shall, thy cities shall with commerce shine
All thine shall be the subject main,
And every shore it circles thine.
(Chorus)
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
The Muses, still with freedom found,
Shall to thy happy coast repair,
Shall to thy happy coast, thy happy coasts repair,
Blest isle! with matchless beauty crowned,
And manly hearts to guard the fair.

"continual attempts to break kc's spirit. this is performed through constant mick taking and most often patronizing looks (you know who you are) "
i hope that i do not fall into this category. despite frequently telling you you are very excitable, i maintain thats a good thing. So don't change!
I don't have a look, whatever you might think
I think you misunderstand our intentions. We are not trying to break your spirit, we are simply trying to show you the proper way of doing things and show you the error of your yankee ways.It would seem this task is more difficult than we at first thought, but fear not, for we will never give up on you.
Now let's all join rich in singing that wonderful song.
By the way, before anybody tries to be clever, I have dual citizenship!
:cue loud throat clearing noise:
Ahem. I, Josephine Elizabeth Poultney the First, do solomnly declare, my undying support for kc, and her spirit.
I hereby proclaim to personally destroy those who wish to break this spirit.
From this day forth no patronising looks will issue forth from my face.
I am English however, so the mick taking will take place forever more, but I hope in an encouraging manner.
I think that about wraps it up.
